I am currently reading the book Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, which so far, has been a most pleasant read. I'm at about chapter 39 and its already been one of the most engrossing books I've ever read.
The original Pride and Prejudice was very good, but at times I found myself reading over the same page again and again because my mind kept wandering. It isn't so with this installment. No, when things begin to get even the intsiest bit boring mastermind, Seth Grahame-Smith throws in so hot zombie action. And even though most of our un-dead friends are dismembered by the heroin of the story, they do make for an exciting pick-me-up.
The characters in this book are much deeper and complex in this book, because about all of them are bound by a warrior's code. Take Elizabeth Bennet, for example, during the course of the novel she often talks about pulling out Mr. Darcy's or Mr. Bingley's heart for insulting her famliy's honor. It seems to me that mostly the female characters are the ones who are trained in the deadly arts....
Well, tootles.
Untill I finnish the book.
